Because business is the cornerstone of any communities’ growth and prosperity, I am asking you to consider supporting the United Way of West Georgia by making a corporate gift and running an effective employee campaign. Your support is the key to a successful company campaign. It will not happen without you. Thank you for any efforts on our behalf.
When we were getting statistics together to write this letter, we found that 10 years ago, of the funds that are allocated to the agencies, we were spending 39% on youth development, 37% on family, elderly and health and 32% on crisis response. Very interestingly, we found that we are now spending 16% on Family, Elderly, Health, 16% on Crises and 67% on Youth and Children. This did not happen by accident. It was a concerted effort by the United Way board to invest our time and money on the front end, in our children. There will never be much change until we concentrate on our young. Will this work? We do not know the answer, but we feel it is worth the effort.
The services that are provided through your support of United Way are also addressing problems that affect you and your employees.
